  • Wrote and Produced the indie feature film THE SURFACE, a survival drama starring Sean Astin, Chris Mulkey, and Mimi Rogers. THE SURFACE is about two strangers both at the end of their rope who suddenly meet in the middle of the unpredictable waters of Lake Michigan. Currently streaming.

  • Producing Douglas Segal's b4u, a romantic comedy about finding true love at a lake house in the heat of summer.​

​

  • Producing WILD HORSES, a thriller by Allison Burnett (MY OXFORD YEAR). Being shopped.

​

  • ​Exec producing THE BIG EVERYTHING, a magical drama starring Bradley Whitford, James Wolk, and Michael Shayan,  written/directed by Sal Paskowitz, produced by Gil Cates, Jr., Ryan Lewis, and academy award nom Andrew Carlberg,. POC is completed and at festivals through 2025. Feature in development.

  • Exec producing SEPARATION, CAa dramedy written by Gil Cates, Jr., Team includes Producer Tim Harms, DP Jimmy Sammarco, and Aufiero Horn Casting. Shooting July/August 2026 in Los Angeles.

  • Screenplays include: THE SURFACE (see above; currently streaming); MOUNTAIN PASS, a survival thriller (avail fall 2025); HEADWIND, a coming of age / martial arts story (multiple screenwriting awards); EVEN KEEL, a dramedy coming of age crime story (stage play; pilot received multiple screenwriting awards); THANK YOU, SIR an uplifting, family friendly short (multiple screenwriting awards).

  • Co-wrote, produced and directed the pilot, STRAIGHT FROM THE EDGE.

 

  • Wrote, produced and directed the award winning short film, IN PASSING.

​

  • A lifelong actor who graduated from Univ of Minnesota, classically trained at American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in San Francisco, and has had roles at theaters across the country, including the Old Globe Shakespeare Festival (San Diego), Court Theatre (Chicago), and Riverside Shakespeare (NYC), plus roles in independent films in NYC and Los Angeles, and has worked with many stars including Tom Berenger, Marlee Matlin, Robert Forster, Christopher Lambert, Loretta Devine, Jerry Orbach, Tony Shaloub, and Chris Mulkey. Additionally, Jeff was a series regular on the ABC dramas LOVING and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, and GUIDING LIGHT on CBS. He was a guest star on two episodes on NBC's original LAW & ORDER series and Fox's BEVERLY HILLS 90210.

  • Studied film at the BBC, AFI, and NYU.  Seminars with Edward Albee and David Mamet.

  • Presented a TEDx Talk on perseverance at Marquette University.

​​

  • Guest lecturer for theater, film, and television at colleges and universities. 

 

  • A certified 6th Degree black belt Taekwondo Master, with advanced ranks in three other styles (Karate, Kung fu, Kenpo).

​

  • A graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy, Jackson Hole Ice Mountaineering School, and Outward Bound Survival School.

 

  • ​Along with Chan Lee, founded the nonprofit J.K. Lee City Youth Martial Arts Program (CYMAP), which brings the life skills and character enriching benefits of martial arts to underserved youth. It continues to thrive under Executive Director Maryfrances Palmisano. Additionally, Jeff helped found the nonprofit, MJFLA, a non-sectarian organization that offers qualified interest-free loans.​​​
